What Emma does

A knowledgeable friend who happens to know glaucoma.

Glaucoma is a lot to carry — drops on a schedule, pressures, appointments, letters in small print. Emma quietly helps with all of it, in language that makes sense.

Talk to Emma

Ask anything about glaucoma — what your drops do, what a word means, what to expect — by voice or text. Emma answers in plain language and shows you where it came from.

Voice or text

Your Journey Log

Keep a simple, private record of your drops, eye pressures and appointments. When it's time to see your eye doctor, share a clear summary in a tap.

Share with your clinician

Read the fine print

Point your camera at a letter, a label, a leaflet — anything with small print — and Emma reads it aloud and large. Helpful far beyond the clinic.

Everyday reading aid

Short coaching videos

Watch clear, friendly videos from glaucoma specialists — how to put drops in without waste, what your pressure numbers mean, and more.

Specialist-made

Understand your medicines

Curious what a drop is for or how it's usually used? Emma explains glaucoma medicines clearly — general guidance to bring to your own clinician, never a prescription.

Plain-language

Yours, and only yours

Clear answers. Honest about where they come from.

  • 1
    Plain language, not medical jargon

Emma talks to you like a thoughtful adult — warm, never childish, never overwhelming.

  • 2
    Always shows her sources

Answers are grounded in public health guidance from the NHS, the US National Eye Institute and the FDA — and Emma cites them, so you can trust and verify.

  • 3
    Knows her limits

Emma is a companion, not a doctor. She'll explain and reassure — and always point you back to your own eye-care team for decisions about your treatment.

  • 4
    Speaks, and listens

Designed for tired eyes: ask out loud and Emma reads her answer back in a clear, natural voice.

Privacy isn't a feature. It's the whole idea.

Your eyes are your business — nobody else's.

Emma was built privacy-first from the very first line of code. The intelligence runs on your device, so your questions and your health record never have to leave your phone.

Works fully offlineEmma's brain lives on your phone. No signal needed, nothing sent to a server to get an answer.
No account, no trackingThere's nothing to sign up for. Emma doesn't build a profile of you and there are no third-party trackers.
Backup is off until you choose itYour Journey Log stays on your device. An optional encrypted backup exists — but it's switched off by default, your call.
You're always in controlYou decide what to record and what to share. Export a summary for your clinician whenever you want — and delete everything just as easily.
Designed for eyes that need it

Made for the way glaucoma actually affects sight.

Glaucoma erodes contrast and side vision long before sharpness. So we built Emma around that — every screen is high-contrast, generously sized, and never relies on colour alone.

  • Large, adjustable text that grows with your phone's settings — no tiny print anywhere.
  • High-contrast, calm colours tested to remain readable as contrast sensitivity changes.
  • Voice in and voice out, so you can use Emma without straining to read or type.
  • Big, simple buttons and a layout that stays predictable — comfortable, not clever.
Simple pricing

Good questions

Things people ask about Emma

Is Emma a doctor, or a replacement for one?

No — and she'll be the first to say so. Emma is a companion: she explains, reminds, reassures and helps you keep track. She never diagnoses or prescribes, and she always points you back to your own eye-care team for decisions about your treatment.

Where do Emma's answers come from?

From trusted, public health sources — the UK's NHS, the US National Eye Institute and the FDA among them — and Emma shows you the source behind each answer. If something falls outside what she can responsibly answer, she'll tell you rather than guess.

Is my health information private?

Yes — that's the heart of Emma. The app runs on your phone and works offline, there's no account to create, and nothing is uploaded by default. Your Journey Log stays on your device unless you turn on the optional encrypted backup yourself.

Which phones will Emma work on?

Emma is coming to both iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Join the waitlist and we'll let you know the moment your phone is supported.

Does Emma need an internet connection?

No. Because Emma's intelligence lives on your device, you can ask questions and use your Journey Log even with no signal at all. A connection is only needed for things like watching the coaching videos.

What languages does Emma speak?

Emma launches in English. We're carefully testing other languages — especially for being clear and kind with older speakers — before we add them.

When can I get it?

We're in the final stretch before Emma reaches the App Store and Google Play. The fastest way to be first in line — and to help shape it — is to join the waitlist.
